ICT for Social Accountability
There are a slew of ICT-based citizen feedback platforms in the developing world, and most of them make little to no impact on the communities they're intended to serve. They're copied and pasted for a different context, and not embraced by communities of local leadership. Reboot was hired by The World Bank to revisit an existing performance-based financing system, and try to incorporate citizen feedback. Our approach was rooted in immersing in the context of rural Nigeria, and creating a tool with the community to offer feedback on their local healthcare facilities. At the end of the project I led the design of a final report summarizing our approach and the project's results. I worked closely with the field team to create visual representations of complex system diagrams, and user personas. Following the conclusion of the project I helped to carry the methodology forward, and created a summary booklet for the project.
